Nakia Calhoun is a compassionate leader and founder of Prophetic Women Arise Ministry Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women escaping domestic violence because she is a survivor of domestic violence that nearly ended her life with 3 young children, at the time she was able to escape and start fresh for a better life and environment for her children. With a profound calling to serve, Nakia established this organization to provide comprehensive support, including shelter, education, tutoring, and daycare services. Her visionary approach addresses the holistic needs of survivors, fostering a path towards independence and self-sufficiency. Through her tireless efforts, Nakia has created a sanctuary of hope and resilience, helping countless women reclaim their lives. Her unwavering commitment to this critical mission has made a transformative impact on her community. As President, Nakia continues to inspire and uplift, driving Prophetic Women Arise Ministry Inc. towards an even brighter future for those it serves.
